Job Description

Kirton McConkie has an exciting employment opportunity for a legal assistant in our Boise, Idaho office. The ideal candidate will have a positive "can-do" attitude to meet the needs of high-level clients and attorneys.

Responsibilities

  • Format and construct various pleadings, correspondence and other legal documents
  • Manage correspondence between attorney and clients
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents related to the acquisition, ownership and development of real property
  • Assist in the closing of real estate transactions including the review of legal descriptions and typical closing documents
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic files
  • Oversight of individual client preferences, client accounts, and requests
  • Maintain attorney calendar
  • Provide proactive and advanced legal support
  • Other tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of court requirements and procedures
  • Knowledge of basic real estate transactions including sales, purchases and leasing preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to meet required deadlines, multi-task, prioritize, organize, and work calmly under pressure
  • High attention to detail, be proactive, and self-motivated
  • Ability to both follow instructions, and to think and work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Two years of experience in a law firm preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
