Job Description

Kirton McConkie, a large Salt Lake City based law firm, has an exciting employment opportunity for a Legal Assistant in their Salt Lake office. The ideal candidate will have a positive "can-do" attitude to meet the needs of high-level clients and attorneys.

Responsibilities

  • Format and construct various pleadings, correspondence and other legal documents;
  • Manage correspondence between attorney and clients;
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic files;
  • Oversight of individual client preferences, client accounts, and requests;
  • Maintain attorney calendar;
  • Provide proactive and advanced legal support; and
  • Other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Knowledge of court requirements and procedures
  • Experience with the Federal and State Courts' electronic filing system
  • Ability to meet required deadlines, multi-task, prioritize, organize, and work calmly under pressure;
  • High attention to detail, be proactive, and self-motivated;
  • Ability to both follow instructions, and to think and work independently;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience with litigation is a plus, but not required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
