Job Title: Legal Administarvtive Assistant 

Department/Group: Labor & Employment 

Reports to:  Department Head

FLSA Type: Non-Exempt

Hours: 40 hours plus; 9:00 am – 6:00 pm

Office Attendance: Hybrid;
Mandatory 3 days per week inclusive of Monday; additional days in office as required by the firm or based on client needs

Years of Experience: 2-5 Years

Compensation: 65,000 - 70,000 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

 

The Legal Administrative Assistant   will provide administrative and legal support to the Labor & Employment Partner and practice group. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, revise, and format legal documents.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, hearings, arbitrations, and conference calls.
  • Maintain and organize electronic and physical files.
  • Proofread documents for accuracy, grammar, and formatting consistency.
  • Handle incoming calls, screen inquiries, and communicate professionally with colleagues and clients.
  • Track deadlines, timelines, dates, and agency response requirements.
  • Process attorney time entries, expense reports, and assist with billing‑related tasks.
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects as assigned.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: 

 

The below listed qualifications and experience are required to perform this job:

 

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant (executive support) or Administrative Assistant in a law firm, preferably in labor, employment, or litigation.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and willingness to learn new software applications.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage shifting priorities, and maintain professionalism in a fast‑paced environment.
