Gun Violence Prevention Fellowship

The Gun Violence Prevention Fellowship (GVP) offers young adults impacted by gun violence a platform to make a meaningful contribution to one of the most critical public safety issues facing our communities. Through hands-on collaboration with staff, mentors, and community partners, fellows will learn about the criminal justice system and help develop prevention strategies to combat gun violence. The program will culminate in a policy presentation to the District Attorney and his Executive Team.
Application Requirements
- Must be between the ages of 18-25
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must be enrolled in college, have a college degree or have 1 year of work/volunteer experience
- Must currently reside in Manhattan
- Individuals impacted by gun violence are encouraged to apply

- Essay discussing your personal experience with gun violence and/or your motivation to work in this field (300-word limit)
Additional Details
- Full time, paid, and in person
- Program runs from June 23rd – August 22nd of 2025
