LOCATION: Portland, OR
SALARY: $60-65k/yr. DOE
SCHEDULE: Full-time, Monday-Friday; Hybrid after 6mo. of training.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage Chapter 13 Cases - Oversee pre-confirmation bankruptcy cases, ensuring timely and accurate case progression.

Support Hearings and Meetings - Attend 341 meetings and confirmation hearings, assisting Trustees and hearing officers as needed.

Prepare Legal Documents - Draft and organize Trustee objections and other court-related filings in preparation for hearings.

Conduct Case Reviews - Analyze case files and supporting materials to identify issues and ensure compliance with legal standards.

Liaise with Stakeholders - Communicate effectively with attorneys, debtors, and creditors to facilitate resolutions and maintain case flow.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Bankruptcy Experience - At least one year of experience providing legal support or paralegal assistance in bankruptcy law.

Technical Proficiency - Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat for creating, redacting, and annotating PDFs.

Familiarity with Court Systems - Experience using PACER and Electronic Case Filing (ECF) systems to access and manage court documents.

Strong Organizational Skills - Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position takes place in an office, a smoke-free environment in compliance with Oregon’s workplace policies. General office duties are performed in a temperature-controlled environment. Occasional travel within the building for hearings may be required.
